- WHY VIVACIOUS VEGE -
The concept of Vivacious Vege was conceived in early 2014 and has developed from concerns inherited from my mother about the health issues stemming from the modern diet and a passion for cooking that has single handedly grown from my father’s ‘old school’ influence: a growing appreciation for basic quality food derived from clean traditional preparation and preservation methods.
It isn't a new practice, but in today's modern society the focus seems to be all about streamlining processes and reducing costs to increase profits with only too often, little regard from manufacturers for the nutritional value, chemical exposure from shortcutting processing methods and inclusion of multiple additives that can create health issues.
I believe that ever-increasing chemical processing, the extensive use and creation of artificial additives, preservatives and excessive addition of natural additives like sugar to our ‘food’ is contributing to illness, food intolerances and allergies alike.
Vivacious Vege’s aim is to (eventually) provide a large range of products that have not been chemically processed, do not contain anything artificial with the lowest possible sugar and salt content to everyone that enjoys quality food regardless if you can or can’t eat meat, gluten, egg, dairy, peanuts or any combination of these.
